I have updated to version 3.0 of WordPress and I am happy to see that WRP-Cards is still working flawlessly.

I still have plans to update WRP-Cards to include only cards that would show only suits or only cards with no suit. I plan on doing this by the end of the month.

The path to the cards directory was hard coded in the plug-in and this caused problems with people who had their wordpress located somewhere else than the root dir.
Version 1.6 now uses WP_PLUGIN_URL to determine the location of the cards.

Modified the Ad.gif and Ad_e.gif. Some spam/ad filter where filtering this image out (Firefox AdBlock Plus is one of them). I guess it’s because the filter reads Ad.gif and Ad_e.gif as an ad and it’s being filtered out.
I patched it non elegantly, I changed the Ad.gif and Ad_e.gif to xyz.gif and xyz_e.gif. It’s not pretty, but it works…
I should have rolled out that patch a while ago…

Based on a suggestion by Tomas by from www.blogaloo.com I added a new option to WRP-Cards.

Now you can display a backcard by using the code :_00 (without the ‘_’) to display a backcard that will look like this .

I am not sure this is something feasible. But a work around would be to use CSS code to modify the position of the images on the text line. You could use CSS code to display the images x% lower or higher than normal.

In order to do this, the images would need a class assigned to them. When I created WRP-Cards, I had not see fit to assign a class to the images but in the light of Mr Dimbert’s post, I decided to add the class

I just put the finising touches to [b]wrp-cards[/b] and I am releasing it to the public under the gnu license.

I created a plugin to easily display graphical cards in WordPress.
I based it on the ITH forum I frequent. Basically the only thing you need to do to get a card is type a “:” and then the card and it’s suit (example: : Ad will display ).

It is loosely based on Chris Halverson’s [i]pokerhand[/i], but simpler to use in my opinion since you don’t have to embed the cards in tags.

When I have more time on my hands I will make this public.
