I am still making a nice profit though. So it’s all good.

I try to remain calm. Now, instead of calling someone “idiot” I just tell him “nh” (nice hand).

I just changed my screen name on Party today. Not sure if it’s a good thing or not, but I figure it can’t be bad.

I played my first tournament on Party Poker tonight.

Finished 32 out of 2500 for a whooping payday of 12$.

I was playing poker tonight on Party. I had AA in the big blind. Three players, we capped preflop. I and a bandit (one of them folded on the flop action) capped the Flop on a non-threatening board. On the turn, I lost my connection! DANG! I was mad as hell.

I had disconnect protection, so I was protected. I downloaded the hand history from Party to see how the hand went. I was glad to see I did not loose the hand (the bandit had JJ) but I was disappointed (that

I just cleared the 40$ bonus and have a profit of 71.50$. That makes my bankroll up to 311.50$ which is my minimum bankroll (well 300$ would be) to play at the 0.50$/1$ limit.

I played well. I even manage to get away form AQo when I flopped top pair with a flop of TQ8. There where 2 bandits with me in the pot. I am in the middle. First Bandit bets, I raise, third Bandit re-raises! Bandit 1 and I both call. Turn is 4c. Bandit 1 bets, I think for a while and fold because I am sure Bandit 3 will re-raise and I think I am beat. Of course Bandit 3 re-raises and it’s capped. They joyfully cap the River also. Bandit 1 won with a set of tens… Bandit 3 had a set of 4…

In the past I would’ve played this to the end… And loose a lot of big bets along the way…

I also got a few bad beats… but remained calmed. In the past I could not behave myself and I had to write something in the chat box like:

I deposited 200$ at Party Poker using the August reload bonus of 20%.

I played 0.50$/1$, which I should not play since I don’t have the bankroll to play at that limit yet but Party Poker as always been my favorite site. I tried playing at the other sites but I have difficulty following the action…

In any case, I need to play 280 raked hands to clear the bonus. I played about 220 hands 2 tabling for 140 raked hands. Not too bad, this bonus should be easy to clear (as are all Party bonuses).

So, let’s start by answering a few questions? How, why, who and when.

How will I write this blog?
Even though I write as if I was writing to someone, I am not! I am writing for myself. I realize that some people will come here and read my blog and I think this is great, but I am not writing for them (or you). I am writing for me. It just simplifies the act of writing when you write like you are writing to someone (at least for me it does .

Why do I write this blog?
This blog is about poker and I might include some facets of my life in it also, but mainly it’s about poker. More specifically: internet poker, as this is the only form of poker I play. There are no poker rooms near where I live and the casinos do not offer poker tables at this time. I hope this will change in the future though.

I created this blog mainly for one reason. I have a plan. A poker plan that is and I need to keep track of my progress in order for it to succeed. I have a bunch of excel spreadsheets and word documents that will help me in keeping track of progress but I think that writing a blog will help me maintain the focus I need to accomplish my poker plan

At some point I plan on putting these documents in some form in the blog but for now they will be kept separate.
