Karma bit my ass.

In my quest to kill my boredom of Holdem, I am playing all kinds of new poker games.

So lately I have played, 7 cards stud, Pot Limit Omaha and more recently I have played some heads up SNGs. I have played them in Holdem and Omaha (Limit, Not Limit and Pot Limit).

I had quite a success with all my new endeavors, but I have to write about one particular HU SNG I did.

It was in limit holdem. My opponent was playing very badly but he constantly outdrew me. Whenever he bet I knew he had a great hand and I folded. He showed his hand every time. I would have to say that I was right 95% of the time.

I was really reading him well. But he constantly outdrew me and that was frustrating me. I got to the point that I was down to my last 200$ (we both started at 1500$) when he lost his internet connection.

That was my chance! I bet every hand and since he was sitting out, the poker software made him fold everything automatically. He was down to 65$ when he got reconnected. I felt quite cheap, but nonetheless, I continued to bet aggressively. What happened after that totally baffled me. He basically won all the pots after his reconnection and won the SNG. :(

I guess this is what we call karma

My first cashout.

I just broke a promise :(. I had said that I would not cashout any money from my bankroll until it reached 10k.

Unfortunately (or fortunately ;) ), I need a new laptop. So I decided to buy a kick-ass model.

I bought this little puppy: Dell Inspiron 9400.

I am back in NL 6 max.

After a short foray in limit 3/6 I am back in NL 6 max.

I am still trying to play my 31 000 hands for the month, but I will do it in NL 6 max instead.

I check and rechecked my data in Poker Tracker, trying to figure out what had happened. I noticed that my Aggression Factor was down by almost 2 points for the last 15k hands.

That is huge!

Basically, I was not aggressive enough (I was playing scare). That causes 2 problems.

1) You miss out on pots where no one has hit anything. You have to steal some of them.
2) When you bet, people know you have something and you don

Goal for March

My goal for the month of March is too make 3 575$ playing 3/6 full ring at Absolute Poker. Here is how I intend to do it:

I will play 1000 hands a day on average (so 31 000 hands for the month).

It takes me 13.96 table hours to play 1000 hands. Since I play 4 tables at a time (my actual MT ratio is 3.58) I should play on average a little bit less than 4h a day.

In order to get the 3 575$ number, I would need a BB/100 of 1.92. But I actually plan on having a BB/100 of 0. If I do, I should make 3 575$ at the end of the month!

How you ask? Two words: BONUS and RAKEBACK.
Rakeback 28%: 1 405$
Bonus : 2 170$
------
Total : 3 575$
======

* I clear approx 70$ in bonus for every 1000 hands I play on Absolute Poker.

* The rakeback number comes from a rakeback calculator.
At the start of the month, I had 1 490$ in pending bonuses at Absolute Poker. Absolute usually have 400$-600$ reload bonus every week, so I should not have any problems replenishing my bonus bank.

As a side note, since I should clear 490$ in bonus per week (7 * 70$) I should be able to repeat this next month if I take advantage of all the reloads offered during the month.

In conclusion, I am averaging 1.01 BB/100 at 3/6 full ring on Absolute Poker with a MT ratio of 1.90 over 5 600 hands. It
