August Recap

The start of the month was pretty bad. I lost 300$ playing NL 6 max (0.25$/0.50$). That was the first day of the month. I proceeded to lose a hundred more in the following week.

Then I saw that PokerStars had started spreading one on one tables. So I decided to try that and sat at a 1$/2$ NL table.

Big mistake! I was not comfortable at that limit.

Man, did I get pwned by my opponent. I dropped 600$ to him during the session. Two hands come to mind:

    (1) I had a flush, he had a boat –> He stacked me.
    (2) I had 2 pairs, he had a set –> He stacked me.

The other 200$ was pwnage pure and simple. He was better than me and I was too stubborn to admit it.

So, I was about 1k down in just 2 weeks. Then my family and I went to Disney for our vacation. No poker during that time. Disney was a lot of fun and we had a blast.

So that leaves a few days from last week and this week. I grinded the NL 6 max for a few thousand hands and guess what… I am ending the month with a 149.80$ profit. :D

Not too bad considering the start of the month…

Blog crash

Yeah… That’s right… ~X(

My blog crashed last week, while I was on vacation at Walt Disney. It looks like my provider bailed out. Their site is still there, but when I contact support they say I am not a customer, even though I give them my last transaction ID# and the last payment date =D>.

Of course I have backups… Well, kinda… The last backup I can find is from November 2006… :"> I can’t believe I don’t have a more recent backup.

Even without the backup, I think I can still manage to find everything and restore all the data (or most of it).

Oh and btw, after a few days of discussion with my “old” provider that seem to go nowhere, I decided to open a web hosting account with GoDaddy.com. It was fast, painless and it seems the blog is running faster. So maybe what happened was a good thing…

Now back to finding that data… [-o<
